Candy Cane Train at the Goleta Depot: November 28-December 24 – The 22nd annual “Candy Cane Train,” the railroad museum’s popular year-end family event, begins Friday, November 28, 2014, continuing through Dec 24. The event runs daily, except for Dec 1-3 & 8-10, when the museum is closed. Event hours are 1 to 4 p.m. on Nov 28 and weekends; 2 to 4 p.m. all other weekdays.Last train departs at 3:45 each day!
Gem Faire: December 6 – 8th - Earl Warren Showgrounds. Purchase unique holiday gifts for your friends and family. Gem Faire is one of the largest gem, jewelry & bead shows in the United States. With nearly 50 shows a year, Gem Faire brings to the west coast, and some areas of the Midwest, quality gems, beads, crystals, minerals, findings and earth treasures directly to your town.
Thanksgiving 4 Miler: Thanksgiving Day, November 27. Team up with family and friends for a great holiday start. Run Santa Barbara presents Santa Barbara’s flattest and fastest four-miler. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Thunderbird Open Space, pocket park on Walnut. First three hundred on-line registrations get a free event shirt. Race begins at 9:00 a.m. on Hollister near the Magnolia Shopping Center. Prizes and gifts available.
